Bangkok to Seoul ends after twelve years

Thai AirAsia has flown Don Mueang to Incheon for more than 12 years

Thai AirAsia will stop flying Don Mueang to Incheon after 24 October 2026. The route is suspended at present and returns on 1 October for one daily flight up to that last departure. Passengers booked beyond 24 October are offered a free move to an earlier flight, a refund, credit, or a connection to Incheon through Kuala Lumpur.

Cairns to Christchurch stops at the end of October

Jetstar will cancel its Cairns to Christchurch service from 25 October 2026, the start of the northern winter schedule. It had been filed at three flights a week. The airline is dropping Sunshine Coast to Auckland on the same date, and bringing Sydney to Christchurch back the day after.

Cebu to Guam returns for the holidays

Philippine Airlines will fly Cebu to Guam again over the 2026-27 holiday season, on an A321. The filing covers six departures between 17 December 2026 and 6 January 2027, leaving Cebu late in the evening and returning from Guam before dawn. The route is not scheduled outside the holiday period.

Darwin to Singapore stops in October and becomes seasonal

Qantas has cancelled its Darwin to Singapore service from 25 October 2026, the start of the northern winter schedule. The route is filed to come back as a seasonal service from 12 June to 21 August 2027, three times a week on a 737-800.

Kuala Lumpur to Brisbane moves up to the A330 in December

Batik Air Malaysia will use the A330-300 on three of its seven weekly Kuala Lumpur to Brisbane services from 15 to 26 December 2026, in place of the 737 MAX 8. The route runs via Denpasar as OD157 and OD158. The 737 MAX 8 keeps the other four services, and the A330 comes off the route after 26 December.

Singapore to Da Nang goes to three a day

Weekly seats rise 50 per cent, from 2,156 to 3,234

Singapore Airlines adds a third daily flight to Da Nang from 25 October 2026, an afternoon departure returning the same evening. All three services are 737-8 MAX, so the extra flight lifts weekly seats by half in every cabin. The pattern runs to 27 March 2027.

Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City goes to four a day

Weekly seats fall 3 per cent, from 6,489 to 6,286

Singapore Airlines adds a fourth daily flight to Ho Chi Minh City from 25 October 2026, a late-evening 737-8 MAX departure returning before dawn. One of the three existing services drops from a 787-10 to a 737-8 MAX on the same date, so the extra frequency comes with fewer seats overall and 14 per cent less business class. The four-a-day pattern runs to 27 March 2027.

Sunshine Coast to Auckland ends in late October

Jetstar will cancel its Sunshine Coast to Auckland service from 25 October 2026, the start of the northern winter schedule. It had been filed at three flights a week. Cairns to Christchurch goes on the same date, and Sydney to Christchurch returns on 26 October.

Sydney to Christchurch returns after seven years

Jetstar will fly Sydney to Christchurch again from 26 October 2026, four times a week on an A320 as JQ141 and JQ140. It last served the route in October 2019. The return comes the day after the airline drops Cairns to Christchurch and Sunshine Coast to Auckland.

Kota Kinabalu to Bintulu returns in November

AirAsia will fly Kota Kinabalu to Bintulu again from 1 November 2026, three times a week on an A320. Tickets have been on sale since 2 September. Malaysia's Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture announced the resumption after talks with the airline, saying people on the route depend on it for work, education, business, medical treatment and family visits.

Kota Kinabalu to Sibu returns in November

AirAsia will fly Kota Kinabalu to Sibu again from 2 November 2026, four times a week on an A320. Tickets have been on sale since 2 September. It is the second link between Sabah and Sarawak the airline is restoring that week, after Kota Kinabalu to Bintulu on 1 November.

Singapore to Auckland goes year-round on the A380

Singapore Airlines will fly the A380 on its daily Singapore to Auckland service from 28 March 2027, replacing the 777-300ER on SQ285 and SQ286. The filing extends the A380 on the route to year-round. SQ285 leaves Singapore at 22:50 and reaches Auckland at 12:20 the next day; the return leaves Auckland at 14:10 and lands in Singapore at 21:00.

Tokyo to Los Angeles moves up to the 787-9 for the winter

All Nippon Airways will fly the 787-9 on five of its seven weekly Tokyo Haneda to Los Angeles services from 1 December 2026 to 7 February 2027, replacing the 787-8 on NH106 and NH105. The swap pauses between 26 December and 11 January. The airline's other Haneda to Los Angeles service, NH126 and NH125, already uses the 787-9.

Tokyo to Washington takes the 787-9 in three winter blocks

All Nippon Airways will fly the 787-9 in place of the 787-8 on Tokyo Haneda to Washington Dulles in three blocks: 2 to 23 December 2026, 13 to 20 January 2027, and 22 January to 6 February 2027. The first and last blocks run every day except Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday; the January block is Wednesdays only.

Busan to Hong Kong daily from late October

Eastar Jet's second route to Hong Kong, after Incheon

Eastar Jet will fly Busan to Hong Kong daily from 25 October 2026. The outbound leaves Gimhae at 21:30 and reaches Hong Kong at 00:10 the next morning. It is the airline's second Hong Kong route, after the one from Incheon.

Kannur to Fujairah returns for the winter schedule

IndiGo will fly Kannur to Fujairah daily again from 25 October 2026, when the route goes back into its winter schedule. The outbound leaves Kannur at 21:30 and reaches Fujairah at 23:30 local time; the return leaves Fujairah at 04:05 and lands at Kannur at 09:15.

Nagoya to Bangkok adds five flights a week

Up from seven weekly round trips to twelve

Thai Airways adds five weekly round trips between Nagoya Chubu and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi from 19 January 2027, taking the route to twelve a week. The extra flights restore the late-night rotation, TG647 leaving Nagoya at 00:30 and TG646 leaving Bangkok at 11:30, flown by the 787-8 in 18 Royal Silk and 248 economy seats. It is the first late-night service on the route since March 2025.

Seoul to Jeju adds a third flight a week

Jeju Air will fly Incheon to Jeju three times a week from 2 November 2026, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, up from two now. The 737-8 service is also extended to 27 March 2027, after being filed only through the summer season. The route opened on 12 May 2026 and had carried more than 11,600 passengers by the end of August.

Air Premia's second destination in Japan, after Tokyo Narita

Air Premia will fly Incheon to Sapporo New Chitose four times a week from 2 December 2026, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Flown by the 787-9. It is the airline's second Japanese route, after Tokyo Narita.

Subang to Bali, four a week from October

Batik Air already flies Kuala Lumpur to Bali 35 times a week

Batik Air Malaysia will fly Subang to Bali from 20 October 2026, four times a week. Subang sits inside the Klang Valley, so the service gives passengers there a Bali departure without the trip out to KLIA Terminal 1. The existing Kuala Lumpur flights are unchanged.
