TCX viewer
A TCX is the training file Garmin Connect and many watches export: open one here to see where the workout went, how far, and how much of it was uphill. Nothing is sent anywhere, and there is no account to make.
Your file is read on this device and never uploaded.

What it does, and what it does not
- Reads every Trackpoint that has a position, across all the laps in the file, with its altitude and time.
- Shows the moving time, start and finish, and the climbing counted past a 3 m threshold.
- Heart rate, cadence, power, speed and calories are not read or shown: this is the route, not the training data.
- Laps are not marked; the workout is drawn as one line. Trackpoints with no position, from an indoor stretch or a lost signal, are skipped.
Questions
Why is my treadmill workout empty?
An indoor workout records no positions, only time, heart rate and distance from the watch. With no positions there is no line to draw, so the file reads as having no track points.
Why is the track named after the sport?
A TCX activity has no name of its own, only its sport, so the track is called Running or Biking as the file spells it. A TCX course does have a name, and that is used instead.
Does the distance match my watch?
It can differ a little. This measures the line between the recorded positions; a watch may count its own distance from a footpod or a wheel sensor, or smooth the line first.
