What it does, and what it does not
- Writes the workout as a gx:Track, each position at its recorded time, so Google Earth’s time slider plays it.
- Keeps each Trackpoint’s altitude, drawn clamped to the ground.
- Heart rate, cadence, power and laps do not go into the KML.
- Points with no position are skipped, so an indoor stretch leaves a gap the line jumps across.
Questions
How do I replay it in Google Earth?
Open the KML in Google Earth Pro and use the time slider that appears at the top of the map; the track draws itself along as the time moves.
Can I get a GPX too?
Yes, the TCX to GPX page writes one from the same file, positions and times kept.
Why is the line gold?
The KML carries a gold 4 px line style so the track stands out on satellite imagery. You can change it in Google Earth once it is open.
