TravelBoast and Travel Animator are phone apps, MapAnim runs in a browser and on phones, and Voyarc runs in the browser with no account and a different way of travel on each leg. All four import GPX and mark the free film, as their own sites said on 3 November 2026.

  • TravelBoast

    A phone app since 2019, with more than 250 vehicles and your own photos and videos along the route. It has far more vehicles than we do, and in our test of 28 October 2026 its photographic globe was a look we lack.

  • Travel Animator

    A phone app with more than 300 vehicle models, more than 30 map styles and custom models made to order. Its free plan exports HD with a watermark; its Pro costs less a year than ours.

  • MapAnim

    Runs in a browser and on phones, no sign-in to try. The free film is 720p with a watermark; routes on real roads come with Pro, at about half our yearly price. It also maps countries and history.

  • Voyarc

    The film is made in your browser, no account on any plan; a road leg’s two ends go to a routing service. Each leg has its own mode, vehicle and sound. We have fewer vehicles and map Looks, and no app in a store.

Which of these apps are free?

All four have a free tier and mark its film: the other three with a watermark, MapAnim at 720p, Voyarc with a small chip at 1080p. Checked 3 November 2026.

Which work in a web browser?

MapAnim and Voyarc. TravelBoast and Travel Animator are iOS and Android apps. MapAnim needs an account to buy Pro; Voyarc has none. Checked 3 November 2026.

Can one film mix a car, a train and a ferry?

In Voyarc, yes: each leg has its own mode. TravelBoast says its transport can change along a route; the other two sites do not say. Checked 3 November 2026.
