KML to GPX converter
Turn the line you drew in My Maps or traced in Google Earth into a GPX, the file a GPS unit, a bike computer or a route planner will take. The conversion runs on your device: the KML is never uploaded.
Your file is read on this device and never uploaded.

What it does, and what it does not
- Writes a GPX 1.1 track from every LineString and gx:Track in the file, in document order, with heights.
- Keeps the times of a Google Earth gx:Track as GPX times, so a recorded track stays a recorded track.
- Pins, folders, styles, colours and descriptions do not go into the GPX, and pins do not become waypoints.
- Several lines become one track, joined in document order: split them first if they are separate routes.
Questions
Will Strava or Garmin Connect take the GPX?
Garmin Connect imports a GPX as a course. An app that wants an activity, Strava among them, needs a time on every point, which a My Maps line never has; a track recorded in Google Earth keeps its times.
My KML came from My Maps and has heights of 0. Is that a problem?
My Maps writes 0 for every height. Those are treated as no heights at all, so the GPX carries none and your device or app uses its own.
Can I convert a KMZ here?
Yes, drop it as it is: the KML inside is found and converted, and there is a page for it too, KMZ to GPX.
